That is what Microsoft president Steve Ballmer said in opening remarks at Microsoft’s annual shareholder meeting.
Explaining the great start Windows 7 has enjoyed, both in reviews and sales, Ballmer said “Windows 7 is simply the best PC operating system that we or anyone else has ever built.”
I have yet to try it, so I can not personally verify that claim, but couldn’t the great start be stated another way? Couldn’t you say that most of your installed user base is still using an 8 year-old operating system (XP), and the last one you brought out before this (Vista) was a huge flop and the people are desperate for any kind of upgrade?
Well I guess that is not exactly how you want to put it at your shareholder’s meeting. It probably is better to just tell them that it’s selling like hotcakes.
Have you tried Windows 7 yet? Let me know if I should upgrade. Leave a comment or tell me on Twitter.
