Epson is testing an inkjet printer in some UK schools that comes with enough ink pre-loaded to print 8500 color pages.
When the pre-loaded ink cartridge runs dry, Epson will replace it for you, and recycle, the empty cartridge from your printer. No word on the cost of the replacement ink cartridge.
This is a step in the right direction for inkjet manufacturers, as the cost of their inkjet cartridges and their environmental impact are two issues that sometimes get them sideways with their consumers.
I say that even knowing this trend, if ever fully realized, could put a crimp in my business.
