No shock here. Well, ok, even people like me that thought they would be good didn’t have them at 9-1-2 after 12 games.
So what do you think their final record will be? I am going with 79-1-2. That’s right, 160 points.

First, the whole episode makes one think that a lot less has changed around Ram’s Park than we were lead to believe. The new regime was supposed to be a breath of fresh air, and a step in the right direction, etc., from the previous leadership. And all off season we have been hearing about how things are so much more functional, and on the right track. And maybe they are. I admit that possibly it’s not fair to jump to the conclusion that things are not what they seem after just one game, but I am not the only one to wonder today if all we have been hearing these last six months or so is just talk.
Second, Coach Spagnuolo has been consistently preaching a high standards, high accountability team-first message since he got here. Immediately coming to the defense of a player who clearly did not put the team first seems to fly in the face of that message.
I admit, maybe there is something I don’t know, or an angle I am not seeing, and like I said, I know it’s just one game. I also know winning a few games would make everyone forget all of this.
Two women have been arrested in the assault of two Busch Stadium employees, one of whom is wheelchair bound. Does that sound like something the best fans in baseball would do?
Bridget Matarazzi, 25, Laura McClure, 25, have each been charged with one count of 3rd degree assault, according to police.
Matarazzi (L) and McClure (R)
They allege a 41-year-old male usher confronted Matarazzi about possibly being intoxicated. The usher is in a wheelchair.
McClure then pushed a 36-year-old alcohol-compliance officer while Matarazzi attempted to push the usher out of his wheelchair, police say.
Both suspects were arrested by police officers working at the ballpark.
Nice.
