This is one of those things that looking back, seems very obvious. It should have dawned on me that this was possible, but for whatever reason it did not. So it got me thinking that I am either the last to know, and this is a pointless post, or this is an actual useful tip. I am banking on the latter, since I am seeing lots of talk about Google Wave apps for the Iphone available for purchase. The best I can tell, none of these are made by Google or even sanctioned by them. And without naming names, I have seen reports that a few of these apps leave a lot to be desired.
So until Google releases an official Iphone app for Wave, steer clear of any others and just navigate your Iphone’s browser to wave.google.com. You will get a warning that your browser is not supported, but there is an option to proceed anyway. Click that and you are in.
Then, at the bottom of the browser, hit the plus sign to add a bookmark, select ‘add to home screen’, edit the name as you wish and save. Then, voila! there is a Google Wave icon right there on your Iphone.
