Today is the first day of a new weekly feature here on Fridays where I am going to turn things over to you. I am thinking that after working thanklessly all week you might like an opportunity to toot your own horn about something you accomplished during the week that you are proud of. Maybe you did not get the recognition you feel like you deserved. So post a comment here and let us all know so we can all be proud of you as well. I am not looking to give you space to run a free ad for your company, and I will probably remove your post if that is all it is, this should be more interactive. Your post can be about anything you did are proud of, and it can certainly highlight your company, you can even link to it and promote your capabilities.
After a long week, we can all pat each other on the back and do a little virtual networking at the same time.
I will start the post off each week with mine. Here goes:
My company and our parent company sell printer supplies, among other things. We were picked by our supplier to go direct with HP on a new print management program, where the customer installs some software on their network, and it then monitors their printers and automatically orders toner when they need it, as well as tells them when they need paper, schedules maintenance, alerts them to problems, etc…basically it manages their fleet of printers so they don’t have to, and it allows them to order toners as they need them rather than tie up their money in extra toners sitting on shelves.
It was kind of cool for our company to get picked as a provider to offer this maintenance program, but this happened a while ago, and honestly we are having a hard time signing up new customers for this program. Actually, none of our salespeople had managed to sign a contract yet.
Well anyway, it looks like yours truly has landed the first contract company-wide!
I am proud of that. Now, tell me what you did this week.

Congrats and you should be proud. It wasn't luck you were chosen. It's all about persistence and hard work. Good job.
Tooting my own horn this week – I'm back at work and still alive. It doesn't sound like much, but after being off for about a month, it's been dang weird. Will I get back in the swing? Definitely. But it won't happen overnight.
Cheers to this new feature. BTW, you know you can precreate most of these and just tweek them before they actually post. Just schedule them.
Way to go Todd, and you will get your mojo back in no time, I'm sure. Thanks for the comment.

Congrats Greg!
Interesting week for me – one of the companies I work for was all over the tech blogs with high praise from tech writers such as Marshall Kirkpatrick and Erick Schoenfeld (spelling!). Marshall in fact called me out of the blue since the company/story was so hot to find out if what he was speculating was true.
That company of course is Bit.ly
The other company I work for asked me to go to their NYC office next week to meet everyone there (already been to the LA office). So next Wed-Fri should be interesting. That company is my full time gig – ShopIt Media / ShopIt
The other company(s) had a quiet week, but doesn't mean you can't go check them out this weekend – PercentMobile (http://www.percentmobile.com) and Delivr (http://www.delivr.com) – Ian Kennedy has a lot of good things to say about both companies if you haven't read. He “gets them both” – and I think once you check them out – you'll “get them” and get excited as Ian and I both are.
That's about it! Busy as usual with my 1 full time gig, and 2 part time gigs. Actually 3 part time – but I have been backing off the blogging on siliconANGLE lately (http://www.siliconangle.com) as the real blogging PRO's are doing just fine.
That is quite a week Rex. I am going to go check out your links.
Thanks for coming by.
