In what may be a surprising move to some, Microsoft has arrived on the iPhone with their Bing search engine app.
The free app has been approved by Apple and is now available for download in the app store.
Is this a new era of cooperation between the rival computer giants? I doubt it. Microsoft seems committed to promoting Bing and this is probably just a necessary step to compete. Bing is already available for most other smart phones.
The iphone app, of course does Web searches, makes suggestions, displays the Bing image of the day, and supports other Bing features such as images, videos, maps, business locations, and news.
