This just in from the ‘Why Can’t We Just Let It Go’ department:
According to the Show Patrol blog, Jeffrey Tambor, who better not be speaking out of turn, says the movie is closer to reality than ever.
For those of you that don’t know, Arrested Development is only one of the funniest shows ever. Unfortunately, it was also the least understood, under appreciated show ever. It won Emmy awards and critical acclaim, but never a large audience. It lasted only three seasons, but it remains a huge cult favorite.
I could write a thesis on my opinions as to why the show never succeeded, but it would be a huge waste of time at this point, and many of you would find it offensive, because I would be calling you names.
Let’s just hope this movie thing is true, and let’s not pile on the expectations. Let’s just try to enjoy it if and when it arrives in our local theaters.
On a slightly unrelated note: Let’s also hope I am not writing this exact post about 30 Rock in 3 years. It’s on tonight, watch it!
